Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, this historic city has been called everything from the official pseudonym City of Gardens, to the Vacation Capital of Canada, to the tongue-in-cheek nickname City of Newly-weds and Nearly-Deads (the city is equally well known for its popularity as a honeymoon destination as for its large population of retirees).
