Able to seat more than 1,400 guests, the Royal Theatre first opened its doors back in 1913. The Victoria Symphony, as well as Pacific Opera Victoria, are based here and put on numerous performances throughout the year.
At the Langham Court Theatre guests can enjoy a variety of live theatre performances. The venue is located at Longham Court.
Formerly a church sanctuary, the Alix Goolden is an elegant 800-seat venue located in the heart of Victoria at the Conservatory of Music. The hall features fine acoustics, high vaulted ceilings, filigree iron railings, carved wooden pews and intricate stained glass windows. It plays host to many acclaimed international performers, while also serving the needs of the Conservatory.
The Metro Studio Theatre is home to the professional, alternative company Intrepid Theatre. Visitors can check out a variety of theatrical and improvisational performances at the studio. In addition, the space can be rented for special events and activities.
Located in a restored heritage church, the venue contains two theatre stages. There is a lobby, reception area, classrooms and production facilities. Throughout the year, Belfry Theatre hosts 12 plays for adults to enjoy.
Originally called the Pantages Theatre, the McPherson Playhouse features a 772 seating capacity. Dating back to 1914, the theatre presents a wide array of events and productions.
VEC is a multi-purpose venue catering to small arts and entertainment groups. It is operated by the Victoria Multi-Cultural Society, a non-profit organization. Watch for festivals, dance cabarets, comedy nights, cinematic performances and much more. Along with a capacity to hold 250 people, it also features a large stage and dance floor.
