A national historic site and now the campus of Royal Roads University, this castle and estate was once the private residence of James Dunsmuir, son of Robert Dunsmuir who built Craigdarroch Castle. The estate features three distinctive beautiful gardens and parkland for a scenic stroll and the spectacular setting and surroundings of the estate make it a popular venue for weddings, corporate events and private functions.

Completed in 1890, Craigdarroch Castle reflects the huge wealth amassed by the Dunsmuirs from the coalfields of Vancouver Island. This 20,000 square foot historic house has four floors containing exquisite stained glass and lavish Victorian era furnishings. Low season: 10 am to 4:30 pm, Extended hours June 15 to Labour Day 9 am to 7 pm.
