A national historic site and now the campus of Royal Roads University, this castle and estate was once the private residence of James Dunsmuir, son of Robert Dunsmuir who built Craigdarroch Castle. The estate features three distinctive beautiful gardens and parkland for a scenic stroll and the spectacular setting and surroundings of the estate make it a popular venue for weddings, corporate events and private functions.
Constructed in 1898, British Columbia's impressive provincial Parliament Buildings tower over Victoria's Inner Harbour. Public tours of parts of the building are available.
This Kwakwaka'wakw Big House was built in 1953 by Chief Mungo Martin, a revered Northwest Coast style artist, singer and songwriter. It is a replica of a Big House built at Fort Rupert in the mid-1800s. Located in Thunderbird Park, Mungo Martin House continues to host First Nations ceremonial gatherings.
