Held on the Saanich Fairgrounds, the Peninsula Country Market is held each summer from June to the end of September on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. An open air market, there is a range of merchandise including jams, baked good, honey, cut flwoers, organic fruits and vegetables, and meats from over 50 vendors. As well, visitors can enjoy music, food stalls and hot coffee.
Located in Victoria's old town district. This market is open April through October. Find paintings, pottery, jewellery, glassware and everything else in between. Watch artists and artisans make fine crafts or take a stroll down the cobblestone walkways.
Red Barn features locally produced meats and produce in a market-type setting. Located in Saanich, it is worth a short drive into the country to get fresh seasonable vegetables and fruit at reasonable prices. Some grocery items are available as well. The deli has a variety of sandwich meats and cheeses, and their made-to-order sandwiches are very popular with customers. Pet foods and some horse supplies are also onsite.
Each Saturday from May through October, this outdoor community market is where local producers, artisans and musicians meet and do business. Items for sale include pottery and paintings, food, drinks and musical instruments. The market is held in a small green space behind the Parliament Buildings.
