Starlight Pops Choir presents its annual winter concert, “Pop ROCKS,” featuring upbeat classic pop songs from Paul Simon, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, The Police, The Rolling Stones, Queen, U2, and more. The talented 70-voice choir is supported by a four-piece combo of outstanding local musicians. The concert will include special performances by small ensembles and soloists including a solo by the choir’s director, Sue Doman, an accomplished vocalist. William Roache is most popularly known as Ken Barlow from popular British television soap opera Coronation Street. On the "Street" for over 50 years, he is the serial's longest standing actor. Roache visits Victoria as part of his Canadian tour to talk about his experiences and stories of working on one of Britain's most successful programs.
